The Iron Room Village Hall, Furnace near Machynlleth, 2012

The Iron Room is a grade 2 listed Village Hall dating from around the beginning of the 20th century of a type typical of the period and at one time common in England and Wales. Sadly many of these buildings have been demolished over the last 50 years and hence the listing by Cadw.

In 2012 we completely renovated the building, added a tin clad extension on one side and built a car park and disabled facilities. The work was grant added by the Welsh Office and was undertaken in collaboration with the Catalina Architects of Aberystwyth.
